Sarah Phillips - product strategy, design, development + global sourcing
A strategic designer, product developer and serial entrepreneur, Sarah has spent the last 2 decades helping major fashion brands conceptualize and launch successful new products and brand extensions. Armed with a Master’s degree in Industrial Design and most of an MBA, she’s led teams focusing on design and strategy for vertically-integrated multi-billion-dollar fashion companies as well as start-ups, including her own. Sarah is currently building her latest brand, an Amazon-native home improvement brand, and coaching other Amazon entrepreneurs on product development, global supply chain and supplier negotiation best practices. She also serves as a mentor to other entrepreneurs in Ryerson University's Fashion Zone business incubator. In addition to launching commercially successful brands carried by leading retailers globally and featured in publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Elle, Sarah’s upcycled craft brand, Loop de Loup, was highlighted as one of Not Just a Label’s top 40 emerging visionary brands in their inaugural namesake pop-up store at the Waldorf Astoria NYC. A true multi-disciplinary thinker, Sarah takes a holistic approach to designing businesses to be inclusive and responsive to the customer’s use experience from the ground up, rather than focusing exclusively on product.
